Interesting Facts:

The workers are brown to dark brown, and workers are all the same size, about 1/8″ in length.

Very Common: Native to US. Distributed throughout the US. Considered as having “the widest geographic range, and greatest ecological tolerance of any ant in North America” (Menke et al. 2010)

Colony size can reach 500,000, with multiple queens, satellite colonies, and the ability to nest in voids in your home, as well as other areas on your property and structures.
